多摩川右岸の段丘崖を背に、町工場や畑が入り交じる準工業地域に建つ平屋の住まい。ここでは「つくること」と「暮らすこと」が分断されず、素朴に隣り合っている。
　四方から見通せる敷地に対して、均等に大地へ伏せる方形屋根を架けた。周辺の雑多な営みとも、背後の豊かな緑とも、上下のない平らな関係を結ぶための形となっている。
　家の中心には大きな団欒の場を据え、南側には街へ開く土間を設けた。土間は第二のリビングであり、野菜を分かち合ったり、小さな商いや手仕事をひらいたりできる余白になっている。ただの私的な住まいにとどまらず、ご近所とのささやかな協働を場を目指した。
　内部は陰影に重きを置いた静かな空間を基調としつつ、人の手が触れる場所に木をあしらい、確かな手触りとぬくもりを残している。
　消費と効率を追いかける生活から少し距離を置き、職と住、人と土地がもう一度つながるための、ささやかな拠点を青梅の地に据えた。

Set against the terrace bluff along the right bank of the Tama River, this single-story residence stands in a semi-industrial zone where small neighborhood factories and farm plots intermingle. Here, "making" and "living" are not separated, but exist simply and naturally side by side.

On a site visible from all directions, a hipped square roof sits low and evenly toward the ground. This form fosters an egalitarian, non-hierarchical relationship—connecting with both the diverse everyday activities of the neighborhood and the lush greenery in the background.

At the heart of the home lies a generous gathering space, while the southern side opens to the street through a doma (earthen-floor entry). Functioning as a second living room, this doma serves as a flexible threshold for sharing vegetables, holding small workshops, or conducting modest trades. Rather than remaining a purely private dwelling, the space is conceived as a modest ground for quiet collaboration with the surrounding community.

The interior is rooted in a calm atmosphere that embraces subtle shadows, enriched with timber placed where hands naturally touch to impart a tangible warmth and tactile presence.

Stepping back from a life driven by consumption and efficiency, this small foothold in Ome seeks to rekindle the ties between work and life, between people and place.
